Garment District Home | Cambridge Store | Old Days
Dollar-A-Pound, long a Boston tradition, gave birth to The Garment District in 1986. We tried to be a retail store for everyone - both those working 9 to 5 and those spending their nights at the clubs. Since then The Garment District has just been getting bigger & bigger. In 1989 we added the "Red Room" gaining an extra 4,000 square feet of retail space. Two more major remodifications have added thousands more. Somehow, without really thinking about it, we became the biggest place around. Through it all we have tried to have a good time selling some really fun clothing. Below are some blasts from the past.
